The PTRC is monitoring COVID-19 and incorporating operational modifications as needed to protect the citizens we serve, our members, our partners, and our staff.  Our office will re-open on Monday, May 18th to staff, however, the office is still closed to visitors without a prior appointment.   Where applicable, meetings will continue to be held via teleconference.   • Workplace Restart

    To help you to return to work with appropriate precautions, we have developed a two-module training program. Participating organizations will receive COVID-19 specific safety training and up to 2 protective face masks for each employee, subject to availability.

Workforce Development assesses and develops the local area workforce to meet the current and future needs of employers.

 This goal is achieved by:
  • connecting with organizations to determine the current and future workforce needs,
  • assessing the workforce and identifying populations that need assistance in entering the workforce
  • identifying holes in the workforce and identifying skills gaps
  • developing and maintaining initiatives and programs to close the gap between workforce and employers
  • providing services to businesses to help them develop their workforce


Local area NCWorks Career Centers and NCWorks NextGen Youth programs operate under the guidance of the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board.
