2020-2029 STIP Development

 Planning is underway for the 2020-2029 STIP!


One of the core duties of any Regional Planning Organization (RPO) or Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is the identification and prioritization of projects for consideration in the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The State’s TIP document is a summary of the transportation projects across all modes that are either underway, in the project development process, or planned for implementation in the next 10 years. This planning process is the result of the Strategic Transportation Investment law passed in 2013.   For an overview of the STI project scoring and ranking process click the image below.
