The Piedmont Triad Regional Council was awarded a US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Roads and Streets for All (SS4A) grant to develop a Safety Action Plan. Working with NCDOT and area jurisdictions, the project team will develop a comprehensive plan for preventing traffic fatalities and serious injuries by using a Safe Systems Approach for roadways where needed, educating people about traffic safety, and enacting safety focused policies among other strategies.

Charging Smart Certification

Charging Smart supports local governments that achieve Charging Smart designation in promoting their accomplishments to the public. A Charging Smart designation sends a signal that a municipality is prepared for EV investment.
By increasing EV infrastructure, local governments take measures that make their communities healthier, cleaner, and more attractive to businesses and business growth.

A minimum 20% to 24% cost share of total project cost is required for all applicants. Your total cost share will vary depending on the size of project. Projects for electric vehicle charging stations (EVSE) will be accepted!

🚗Available funds: $5,900,000
🚙Maximum per project award: $450,000
🚐Minimum per project award: $5,000
|
ROLLING DEADLINE: January 1- June 30th
Calling all projects related to Water management (stormwater, drainage flood control), Stream Restoration, Water-Based Recreation Projects (greenways, park development, water access sites), and Feasibility and Engineering studies! Projects up to $200,000 with a 50% match.

Application deadline is May 1, 2025.Since 1994, the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) has awarded matching grants to local governments to reach their park and public access goals to improve the quality of life in their communities. The Park and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) grant fund provides matching grants, of up to $500,000, to local governmental agencies for recreational purposes. Awarded funds are to be used to acquire land for recreational use, to protect the state's natural resources, and to build or renovate recreational facilities. More Information ➡️
