Join us for this discussion to learn more about Direct Pay and how your organization can get the tools and resources necessary to file for its payment. The presentation will also include best practices to keep in mind when preparing for future projects. We are specifically targeting entities that have placed – or will place – projects in service in 2025. Eligible projects include solar, geothermal, EV chargers, EV purchases, and more.
Elective Pay is a mechanism that allows tax-exempt entities – such as municipalities, public school districts, nonprofits, houses of worship, and more – to access federal clean energy tax credits and receive a direct payment for a portion of their project costs. Many of these organizations have already installed solar energy, purchased electric vehicles, or installed EV chargers, and now need to file a tax return – often for the first time – to receive these funds that they are entitled to.
Hosted in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality and Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance on Elective Pay (also known as Direct Pay).
