The Council will meet every other month, and guide the scope, strategy, coordination, and evaluation of the Regional Food Assessment and Council activities.

The goal of the Piedmont Triad Regional Food Council (PTRFC) is to further develop the farm and food sector of the regional economy and improving access to healthy local food for undeserved communities.  The local food economy is also represented in Triad Tomorrow - the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) developed by the Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation.

The PTRC partnered with the North Carolina Growing Together Project to create a mapped inventory of businesses that serve as intermediary steps in local food supply chains across North Carolina:

The PTRFC had their first meeting on April 29th, 2019. The council is represented by approximately 25 members that seek to fulfill the goals and objects of the PTRFC. In order to accomplish this, the PTRFC traditionally meets every two months at the  Piedmont Triad Regional Council.  Below, you will find a link with the list of 2019 PTRFC members!
