Home MenuInterested in a Volunteer Opportunity?
We need folks like you.
The Area Agency on Aging is looking for volunteers! You can make a difference in the lives of older and disabled adults in our communities.
Community Advisory Committees
Volunteer opportunities are available in local Community Advisory Committees across the region. Community Advisory Committees (CAC) are trained volunteers who serve as advocates for residents in long-term care facilities. It only requires a few hours a month of your time to make a difference in the lives of residents living in long-term care facilities. There are many older and disabled adults in our long-term care facilities that have no one. You can be their voice and their advocate. Training and on-going support are provided.
Age Well Volunteers
Spend time with others sharing a passion for health and wellness. We need leaders for our Age Well Community Programs (like Diabetes Prevention and Falls Prevention). Our programs rely on the hard work of our volunteers in order to provide evidence-based, quality health education in our communities. No previous teaching or healthcare experience is required. Volunteers will need to attend a training, hosted by PTRC, to lead workshops. A small honorarium is available to eligible volunteers for facilitating workshops.
