Our 50th Anniversary Celebration was held on Oct 17, 2018 at the Greensboro Coliseum with approximately 250 people in attendance. Thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks for supporting the PTRC for the past 50 years.

Across the region, more than 30 community service agencies receive funding through the Home and Community Care Block Grant to provide services to assist older adults to maintain their independence.
The Area Agency on Aging will receive $20,000 in grant funding from NADTC to organize strategic collaborations to identify ways to address gaps in transportation services to older adults after they are released from hospitals and emergency rooms.

The PTRC Housing Services Department is proud to announce that we are now serving clients in Person County who may need Weatherization Assistance. We will be at the Person County Senior Center (87 Semora Rd. Roxboro NC) on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 9am to 3pm.

The NCWorks Career Center at Hanes Mill Road closed July 11. As of July 16th, the NCWorks Career Center of Forsyth location is 2701 University Parkway (Goodwill Industries building).
Effective July 1, 2018, Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board's name changed to Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board.

Beginning July 1, Goodwill Industries of NWNC will provide direct Workforce Career Services for both Adult/Dislocated Workers and Youth Services. Goodwill is well known for their employment and training programs that help people find hope, opportunity and jobs. We are proud to partner with them.
