NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

The Surry County Housing Consortium (SCHC) will conduct a public hearing to receive citizen comments on the Draft 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan on: 

Wednesday, September 2, 2026 

10:00 a.m.

The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan specify how the Surry County Housing Consortium will address housing and community needs through the use of the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program. 

For FY 2026-2027, the SCHC anticipates receiving $504,383.56 in HOME funds. Citizens and interested parties are encouraged to examine and submit written comments on the proposed 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan for the HOME Program. 

During the public review period, copies will be available at county central library locations in Davie, Yadkin, Surry, and Stokes Counties. For digital copies and more information on these plans, please visit the following links:

The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan drafts are subject to revisions. 

A 30-day comment period will commence on August 17, 2026 and end on September 16, 2026.
