This safety action plan focuses on a subset of the PTRC area, made up of the planning areas for the High Point Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Piedmont Triad Rural Planning Organization (RPO), and the Northwest Piedmont RPO.   The vision of the Piedmont Triad Safety Action Plan is to "Eliminate all fatal and serious injury traffic crashes in the greater Piedmont Triad region through strategic, realistic, and cost-effective improvements to the highest risk parts of our roadways."
