Great Trails State Program Grants Awarded
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council has been awarded $500,000 for the Piedmont Greenway: Triad Park/Reedy Fork Segment - Phases 1 and 2 in partnership with Guilford County, Forsyth County and City of Kernersville. On July 31, North Carolina Governor Josh Stein and the North Carolina Department of Cultural and Natural Resources announced $11 million in grants awarded through the Great Trails State Program to projects in the Piedmont. This funding is a direct result of grassroots advocacy and statewide support championed by the Great Trails State Coalition.
